Job Description:

Job Title: Piping Inspector

Location: Qatar (Onshore/Offshore as per project requirements)

Project Duration: Minimum 1 year (extendable based on performance and project needs)

Rotation: 28 days on / 28 days off (or as per project policy)

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspection and surveillance of piping fabrication, erection, and testing activities.

  • Ensure all piping works comply with project specifications, QA/QC procedures, and international standards.

  • Monitor welding, fit-up, hydrotesting, painting, and final reinstatement activities.

  • Review piping isometrics, material test certificates, and welding records.

  • Verify that consumables, materials, and equipment conform to specifications.

  • Report deviations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

  • Maintain daily inspection logs, prepare reports, and coordinate with construction/QA-QC teams.

Mandatory Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in piping inspection within oil & gas, petrochemical, or refinery projects.

  • Strong knowledge of ASME, API, ASTM, and relevant piping codes & standards.

  • Mandatory Certifications:

    • CSWIP 3.1 / 3.2 (Welding Inspector Piping)

    • BGAS/ICorr Level 2 (Painting/Coating Inspector)

    • Certification in Conventional NDT Methods (RT, UT, MT, PT).

  • Demonstrated experience in piping fabrication, erection, and pressure testing.

  • Fluent in English with strong reporting and communication skills.

Preferred / Advantageous Certifications

  • API 570 (Piping Inspector).

  • PCN/ASNT NDT Certificates (e.g., PAUT, TOFD).

  • Offshore safety certifications (Valid Offshore Medical, BOSIET/TBOSIET, H2S).
