Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Fit-Out Engineer is responsible for overseeing and executing all interior fit-out works, ensuring that construction and finishing activities are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications and quality standards. The role involves coordinating with various trades, suppliers, and subcontractors to deliver high-quality interiors for commercial, residential, or retail projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule, and manage all fit-out and finishing works at the site according to project timelines.

  • Review project drawings, specifications, and material submittals to ensure compliance with design intent and standards.

  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and site teams to ensure quality and safety compliance.

  • Conduct site inspections and ensure all works meet the required standards and approved shop drawings.

  • Monitor work progress and prepare daily/weekly progress reports for management.

  • Coordinate with MEP and civil teams to ensure seamless integration of services within the fit-out scope.

  • Identify and resolve technical and site-related issues promptly.

  • Ensure materials are procured and delivered on time in coordination with the procurement department.

  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures and safety standards on site.

  • Attend project and client meetings to provide updates on progress and discuss project requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.

  • Minimum 35 years of experience in interior fit-out works (preferably in commercial or high-end residential projects).

  • Strong knowledge of finishing materials, joinery, and interior detailing.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

  • Excellent project coordination and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and leadership abilities to manage site teams effectively.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management software.

  • Knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience with turnkey or design & build interior projects.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality workmanship.
