We are currently supporting our client in search of an experienced Storekeeper to join their team.

Job Purpose Summary:

The Storekeeper is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, issuance, and control of all spare parts, tools, and consumables required for facility management operations. The role ensures accurate inventory records, proper storage conditions, and timely availability of materials to support maintenance activities. The position plays a key role in maintaining operational efficiency by preventing stock shortages, supporting procurement planning, and ensuring compliance with inventory control procedures, CAFM systems, and HSEQ standards.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Receipt, Storage & Organization:
    • Manage the receipt, inspection, and storage of all incoming materials, including MEP spare parts, tools, and consumables.
    • Coordinate with FM Engineers for inspection and technical verification of incoming materials, ensuring compliance with specifications, approved submittals, and purchase orders prior to acceptance
    • Verify materials against delivery notes and purchase orders.
    • Ensure proper labeling, categorization, and storage of items.
    • Ensure materials are not accepted into inventory without formal inspection and approval from the relevant FM Engineer.
    • Maintain organized storage systems for easy retrieval of materials.
    • Ensure proper handling of sensitive or specialized equipment.
  • Inventory Control & System Management:
    • Maintain an accurate and real-time inventory database reflecting stock levels.
    • Ensure all inventory transactions are accurately recorded and tracked through the CAFM/inventory management system.
    • Ensure alignment between physical stock and system records.
    • Implement and manage inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies.
    • Identify slow-moving, obsolete, or excess stock and report recommendations for optimization and disposal.
    • Monitor stock movements and update records accordingly.
    • Maintain traceability of all materials within the store.
  • Stock Issuance & Material Control:
    • Issue materials and tools to maintenance teams against approved work orders or requisitions and recorded in the CAFM system for traceability.
    • Ensure all material issuance to site or projects is approved by the relevant FM Engineer and aligned with approved work orders or maintenance activities.
    • Ensure proper authorization and documentation for all issued materials.
    • Track usage of materials and ensure accountability.
    • Prevent unauthorized withdrawal or misuse of inventory.
    • Maintain records of issued materials and returned items.
  • Stock Monitoring, Audits & Replenishment:
    • Conduct weekly cycle counts and monthly full stock audits.
    • Identify discrepancies, damaged items, or slow-moving stock.
    • Monitor and maintain minimum, maximum, and critical stock levels for all spare parts and consumables and initiate timely replenishment actions.
    • Support stock planning to avoid shortages or overstocking.
    • Maintain reports on inventory status and stock movements.
    • Coordinate with FM Engineers to ensure stock levels are aligned with maintenance requirements and asset criticality.
  • Warehouse Safety & HSEQ Compliance:
    • Ensure the store’s environment is clean, organized, and compliant with HSEQ standards.
    • Apply FIFO (First-In, First-Out) method for perishable or time-sensitive materials.
    • Ensure safe storage of chemicals, paints, and hazardous materials in accordance with SDS requirements.
    • Maintain safe handling practices for heavy materials and equipment.
    • Support safety inspections and audits related to storage and inventory.

Any other task assigned by the direct superior.

Skills:

  • Technical / Functional Skills:
    • Inventory management and stock control.

Education:

Diploma or equivalent in Business Administration, Supply Chain / Logistics, Technical or Engineering field.

Certificates:

Preferred Certifications

  • Inventory or warehouse management certification.
  • Supply chain or logistics certification.

Computer Literacy:

  • Computer literate.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and inventory management systems.

Languages:

English fluent.

Arabic is preferred.

Experience

  • 5–7 years of experience in storekeeping, inventory management, or warehouse operations.
  • Experience in facility management, maintenance, or technical environments is preferred.
