Position: Instrumentation Engineer
Location: Qatar
Contract Duration: 1 Year (Extendable)
Experience Required: 5–7 Years in Oil & Gas Industry

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation Engineer with 5–7 years of experience in the Oil & Gas sector. The candidate will be responsible for the design, installation, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

Design, review, and implement instrumentation and control systems for oil and gas projects.
Prepare and review instrument specifications, datasheets, loop drawings, and wiring diagrams.
Coordinate installation, testing, commissioning, and start-up activities.
Perform troubleshooting and maintenance of field instruments, control valves, transmitters, analyzers, and PLC/DCS systems.
Ensure all instrumentation activities comply with project specifications, safety standards, and industry regulations.
Conduct inspections, calibration, and preventive maintenance of instruments and control systems.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
Prepare technical reports, documentation, and progress updates.
Support shutdown, turnaround, and commissioning activities as required.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
5–7 years of experience as an Instrumentation Engineer in the Oil & Gas industry.
Strong knowledge of PLC, DCS, SCADA, and field instrumentation systems.
Experience in calibration, testing, and commissioning of instrumentation equipment.
Familiarity with international standards and safety regulations applicable to the Oil & Gas sector.
Good problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience working in refinery, petrochemical, or offshore/onshore oil and gas projects.
Knowledge of hazardous area classifications and intrinsically safe systems.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
