Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Review and analyze technical specifications, drawings, and project requirements to determine procurement needs.
  • Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs), purchase orders, and tender documents.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contractual conditions with suppliers.
  • Ensure purchased materials and equipment comply with quality standards and technical specifications.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or cost.
  • Maintain updated records of suppliers, contracts, and procurement documentation.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and finance teams to align procurement with project timelines and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
  • Conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities and industry trends.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field).
  • Proven experience as a Procurement Engineer or in a similar procurement/purchasing role.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain management, and contract negotiation.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and vendor management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Experience

  • Knowledge of international sourcing and import/export regulations.
  • Certification in Supply Chain/Procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is a plus.
