Job Description:

Role Overview

The Rigger (Level III) will be responsible for performing safe rigging and lifting operations during equipment dismantling in oil & gas project sites. The role requires experience in using rigging gear, slings, shackles, and hoisting devices, as well as ensuring compliance with safety procedures and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform rigging and lifting activities to dismantle mechanical, electrical, and HVAC equipment as instructed.

  • Select and inspect rigging equipment such as slings, chains, hooks, and lifting devices.

  • Signal crane operators and coordinate lifting activities to ensure safety and efficiency.

  • Follow lifting plans and ensure compliance with client and project HSE standards.

  • Assist in loading/unloading, moving, and positioning heavy equipment and materials.

  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

  • Report unsafe conditions, near misses, and incidents immediately to the supervisor.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma in Associate Engineering (DAE) or equivalent technical certification.

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Rigger Level III.

  • Valid Rigger certification (Level III).

  • Previous oil & gas or industrial project experience preferred.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of rigging techniques, lifting operations, and safety protocols.

  • Ability to read and understand lifting plans and load charts.

  • Good communication skills to coordinate with crane operators, foremen, and site supervisors.

  • Physically fit and able to work in challenging site conditions.
