Job Purpose

To ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally compliant living and working environment within high-end residential compound facilities by implementing HSE policies, conducting inspections, and promoting safety awareness among staff and residents.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures within residential compound facilities.
  • Conduct regular inspections of accommodation areas, kitchens, dining halls, laundries, recreational areas, and other common facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, company standards, and client HSE requirements.
  • Identify workplace hazards, perform risk assessments, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Monitor hygiene, sanitation, and waste management practices to maintain high standards.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; prepare reports and recommend improvement measures.
  • Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and HSE training sessions for employees and residents.
  • Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and placement of safety signage.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and operations teams to resolve safety-related issues promptly.
  • Maintain HSE records, permits, reports, inspection logs, and related documentation.
  • Promote a positive safety culture and encourage HSE awareness among all personnel and residents.
  • Support emergency response activities and ensure preparedness for fire, medical, and evacuation situations.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
  • NEBOSH, IOSH, or other relevant HSE certifications preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in HSE, preferably within facilities management or residential compounds.
  • Good knowledge of local HSE regulations and standards.
  • Strong observation, reporting, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle emergencies and enforce safety compliance effectively.
  • Proficient in preparing HSE reports and maintaining documentation.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of facilities management operations.
  • Ability to conduct risk assessments and incident investigations.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
