Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Officer to join our team on the NFE/S Project. The Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enforcing safety policies and procedures on site to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel. The ideal candidate must have prior Oil & Gas experience and a strong understanding of HSE regulations and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

• Monitor and enforce safe work practices across all project activities, including construction, mechanical, electrical, and piping operations.

• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions for staff and subcontractors.

• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and prepare reports with recommendations to prevent recurrence.

• Ensure all necessary safety documentation, permits (PTW), and records are maintained accurately.

• Liaise with project management, supervisors, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with all safety standards.

• Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement across the project team.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum Oil & Gas experience is mandatory.

• Proven experience as a Safety Officer/HSE Officer in construction or EPC projects.

• Knowledge of local and international HSE regulations and best practices.

• Excellent communication, reporting, and leadership skills.

• Relevant HSE certifications (NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent) are highly preferred.
