Mechanical Technician
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
Material Coding & Documentation
-
Review OEM manuals, spare parts catalogs, drawings, and QP standards to develop material specifications.

Create e-SPFs for coding and coordinate with the Supply Chain Department (MMDG Division).

Provide material codes to users for PR/Reservation/COO requests.
Reservations & Purchase Requisitions
-
Ensure timely material delivery through follow-up with Supply Chain Department.
-
Track pending reservations and purchase requisitions, supporting end users in PR/Reservation creation.
-
Maintain and update PR and reservation data.
Materials Call-off Orders (COO)
-
Assist end users in COO creation and follow-up through to supply completion.
Procurement via Outsourced Contracts
-
Identify materials from OEM manuals and catalogs in coordination with end users.
-
Work with contract administrators to ensure material delivery within contractual obligations.
Store Coordination
-
Oversee material withdrawals from Dukhan stores and arrange transportation from QP warehouse.
-
Ensure transaction documentation accuracy.
-
Follow up on Complaint Notification Reports (CNRs), rejected items, and repair-and-return requests.
SAP MM & PM Module Usage
-
Utilize SAP MM and PM extensively for daily operations.
-
Generate status and analytical reports to assist Planning Engineer and end users.
Stock Monitoring & Optimization
-
Track safety stock levels, highlighting fast- and slow-moving items.
-
Support replenishment activities and inventory optimization reviews with end users.
New Project Material Coding
-
Follow up on SPIRs, e-SPFs, and BOMs from new projects and ensure proper coding with Supply Chain.
Write-off & Disposal
-
Assist in asset write-off/disposal procedures for obsolete equipment in MIC.
Other Responsibilities
-
Provide coverage for colleagues during leave/absence.

Ensure all activities comply with QP/DCA HSE regulations and standards.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
-
Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized university.
-
38 years of experience in material coordination, procurement, contracts, warehousing, and logistics (oil & gas industry preferred).

Minimum 2 years of SAP MM and PM module experience.
-
Hands-on experience with ERP systems and MS Office applications.
-
Strong knowledge of material coding systems and inventory classification.
-
Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic knowledge is an advantage.
