We are supporting our client by hiring an experienced HR Employee Relations & Compliance to join their team.
Job Purpose Summary:
The HR Employee Relations & Compliance Specialist is responsible for managing employee relations matters and ensuring compliance with labor laws, organizational policies, and ethical workplace standards. The role supports the resolution of disciplinary cases and employee grievances, promotes a positive workplace culture, and ensures consistent implementation of HR policies and procedures. The position also supports onboarding and exit processes while maintaining compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations & Case Management:
- Manage employee relations matters including disciplinary cases, grievances, and workplace disputes.
- Conduct fact-finding reviews and gather relevant information related to employee complaints or incidents.
- Provide guidance to managers on handling employee conduct issues in accordance with HR policies.
- Ensure disciplinary actions are administered fairly, consistently, and in line with established procedures.
- Maintain proper documentation of employee relations cases and investigation outcomes.
- Labor Law Compliance:
- Ensure HR practices comply with applicable labor laws and employment regulations.
- Monitor developments in labor legislation and assess their impact on the company HR policies and practices.
- Provide guidance to HR and management on legal compliance requirements related to employee management.
- Maintain documentation required for regulatory compliance and potential inspections.
- Support HR leadership in addressing labor law compliance issues.
- Workplace Culture & Ethics Framework:
- Promote awareness of the company’s workplace values, professional conduct standards, and ethical practices.
- Support the implementation of organizational culture initiatives that foster a respectful and inclusive work environment.
- Assist in reinforcing ethical workplace behavior through awareness sessions and internal communication.
- Support initiatives aimed at strengthening employee engagement and workplace harmony.
- Identify potential cultural or behavioral issues and raise them through appropriate HR channels.
- HR Policies & Procedures Governance:
- Support the development, review, and periodic update of HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure HR policies are clearly communicated and consistently applied across the company departments.
- Provide guidance to employees and managers regarding interpretation of HR policies.
- Maintain controlled documentation of approved HR policies and procedural updates.
- Support management in ensuring policy adherence across the organization.
- Onboarding & Employee Exit Governance:
- Support onboarding processes by ensuring employees are informed of HR policies, workplace standards, and employee obligations.
- Ensure employee induction includes awareness of workplace conduct requirements and organizational expectations.
- Manage administrative aspects of employee exit processes including resignations and terminations.
- Coordinate exit documentation and clearance procedures with relevant departments.
- Maintain accurate records related to employee onboarding and separation.
- Compliance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement:
- Monitor HR operational practices to ensure alignment with organizational policies and legal requirements.
- Identify potential HR compliance risks and report them to HR leadership.
- Support internal HR reviews and compliance audits where required.
- Maintain records and reports related to HR compliance monitoring activities.
- Recommend improvements to HR governance processes and compliance practices.
Skills:
- Technical / Functional Skills:
- Strong knowledge of employee relations and case management practices.
- Understanding labor laws and HR compliance requirements.
- Experience in policy development and governance frameworks.
- Ability to conduct investigations and manage disciplinary procedures.
- Familiarity with HR systems and documentation processes.
- Knowledge of compliance monitoring and reporting.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or equivalent.
Certificates:
Preferred Certifications include:
- SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP.
- CIPD Level 5 or Level 7.
- HRCI (PHR).
Computer Literacy:
- Computer literate.
- Proficiency in:
- HR systems (HRIS / ERP such as Odoo).
- MS Office.
Languages:
English fluent.
Arabic is strongly preferred.
Experience
- 7–10 years of relevant experience in employee relations, HR compliance, or HR operations.
- Experience in handling disciplinary cases and labor law matters is required.
- Experience in corporate or regulated environments is preferred.
