Job Summary
The Electrical Technician is responsible for carrying out preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems and equipment of the office and recreational facilities. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operation of electrical infrastructure while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, equipment, and installations.
- Maintain and troubleshoot:
- Motor Control Centers (MCCs)
- Electrical panels and switchboards
- Motors and pumps
- Lighting systems
- Power distribution systems
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults efficiently to minimize equipment downtime.
- Assist with electrical modifications, upgrades, and new installations as directed.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and panel schematics.
- Support maintenance activities on PLC-controlled equipment; knowledge of Siemens PLC systems is an advantage.
- Inspect electrical installations to ensure compliance with safety regulations and applicable standards.
- Recommend critical spare parts and consumables to maintain operational readiness.
- Supervise contractors during electrical maintenance activities and verify work quality.
- Complete maintenance records, work orders, and technical reports accurately and on time.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and equipment breakdowns.
- Participate in shift work, including weekends and public holidays, when required.
Qualifications
- ITI, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology.
- Valid electrical trade certification is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of electrical maintenance experience within facilities, hospitality, commercial buildings, industrial plants, or large infrastructure projects.
- GCC experience is preferred.
- Experience with large electrical systems, substations, plant rooms, and facility maintenance is an advantage.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of:
- Electrical panels and switchgear

- Electrical circuits and wiring
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
- Familiarity with preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
- Basic knowledge of PLC systems (Siemens PLC preferred).
- Knowledge of local electrical regulations and workplace safety requirements.
- Ability to prepare maintenance reports and documentation.
- Proficient in using maintenance tools and testing equipment.

- Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) and SCADA.
- First Aid and electrical safety certifications are advantageous.
- Experience working entertainment, or hospitality environments is preferred.
