Job Title: Mechanical Static Technician

Location: Qatar

Salary: TBD

Job Purpose:

To perform inspection, maintenance, and repair of static mechanical equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted plant operations, particularly within district cooling or industrial facilities.

Educational Qualification:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience
• Experience in district cooling plants or industrial environments preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance of static equipment
• Maintain and repair piping systems, valves, storage tanks, and cooling tower components
• Carry out maintenance of filtration systems and chemical dosing systems
• Inspect equipment for corrosion, leakage, wear, and structural integrity
• Assist in shutdown, turnaround, and emergency maintenance activities
• Ensure proper isolation, dismantling, and reassembly of mechanical systems
• Update maintenance records and reports using CMMS systems
• Follow maintenance procedures, drawings, and technical specifications
• Coordinate with operations and other maintenance teams to ensure smooth workflow

Certifications & Skills:

• Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
• Strong understanding of HSSEQ requirements, including:
  • Permit to Work (PTW)
  • Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
  • Risk Assessments
• Knowledge of piping standards, valve types, and maintenance techniques
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and P&IDs
