Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced OPCO Approved Permit Holder to manage and control work permit activities in accordance with OPCO procedures and Qatar Energy safety standards. The role involves ensuring safe execution of work by coordinating with Operations, HSE, and Contractors while maintaining full compliance with permit-to-work requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, issue, monitor, and close work permits as per OPCO Permit-to-Work (PTW) procedures.
• Verify worksite conditions and ensure all safety requirements are met before work commencement.
• Conduct site inspections to identify hazards and confirm implementation of control measures.
• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, HSE, and contractor personnel regarding permit activities.
• Ensure compliance with permit conditions, risk assessments, and method statements during work execution.
• Monitor ongoing activities and suspend work when unsafe conditions are identified.
• Maintain accurate permit records and documentation.
• Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and site safety audits as required.
• Ensure adherence to company HSE policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma, ITI, or equivalent technical qualification.
• 1–3 years of experience in Permit-to-Work operations within Oil & Gas, LNG, Petrochemical, or Industrial facilities.
• Valid OPCO Approved Permit Holder Certification.
• Qatar Energy or LNG project experience/certification preferred.
• Good knowledge of PTW systems, risk assessments, and HSE requirements.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of confined space entry, hot work, lifting operations, and isolation procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment while maintaining strict safety compliance.
• Familiarity with Qatar Energy and OPCO operational standards.
