Job Title: Rigger

Location: Mesaieed, Qatar
Duration: 1 Month (Extendable)
Working Hours: 10 hours/day, 6 days/week

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Rigger to support lifting and rigging operations at site. The candidate will be responsible for preparing, securing, and directing loads using appropriate rigging equipment while ensuring compliance with safety standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform rigging activities for lifting, moving, and positioning heavy equipment and materials
• Inspect and select appropriate rigging gear (slings, shackles, hooks, chains, etc.) before use
• Ensure proper load securing, balance, and stability during lifting operations
• Communicate effectively with crane operators using standard hand signals or radio communication
• Conduct pre-lift checks and assist in lift planning when required
• Follow all safety procedures, including PTW (Permit to Work) and risk assessments
• Identify and report any defective rigging equipment or unsafe conditions
• Maintain rigging tools and ensure proper storage after use

Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Rigger in construction, oil & gas, or industrial projects
• Valid Rigger certification (TUV / Third Party Certification preferred)
• Strong knowledge of lifting techniques, load calculations, and rigging equipment
• Familiarity with safety standards and site procedures (PTW, JSA, etc.)
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Physically fit and able to work in demanding site conditions

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in refinery or industrial plant environments (Mesaieed experience is an advantage)
• Basic knowledge of English (spoken and understood)
