Job Title: Mechanical Rotating Technician

Location: Qatar

Job Purpose:

To carry out installation, inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance of rotating mechanical equipment to ensure reliable and efficient plant operations, particularly in district cooling or industrial environments.

Educational Qualification:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience
• Experience in district cooling plants or industrial facilities is preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine, preventive, and breakdown maintenance of rotating equipment
• Maintain and service pumps, cooling towers, compressors, and AHU fans
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to rotating machinery such as bearings, shafts, and couplings
• Carry out alignment, lubrication, and condition monitoring activities
• Ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities using CMMS systems
• Assist in equipment installation, commissioning, and testing
• Identify faults, recommend corrective actions, and minimize downtime
• Follow maintenance schedules and standard operating procedures

Certifications & Skills:

• Experience working with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
• Strong understanding of HSSEQ requirements, including:
  • Permit to Work (PTW)
  • Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
  • Risk Assessments
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
