Job Description – Merchandiser

Position Title: Merchandiser

Job Purpose

The Merchandiser is responsible for ensuring proper product display, stock availability, pricing accuracy, and brand visibility across assigned retail outlets. The role supports sales growth by maintaining merchandising standards and coordinating with store personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Arrange and display products according to company merchandising standards
• Ensure shelves are fully stocked and products are properly rotated (FIFO method)
• Monitor stock levels and report out-of-stock items to the supervisor
• Check product pricing, promotions, and expiry dates regularly
• Maintain cleanliness and attractive presentation of product displays
• Coordinate with store staff regarding stock replenishment and promotional activities
• Capture and submit reports/photos using company mobility devices (smartphones/tablets)
• Visit assigned outlets as per daily route plan
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures

Requirements

• High school qualification
• Basic knowledge of using mobility devices such as smartphones or tablets
• Prior experience in FMCG merchandising is preferred
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple store visits
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of retail merchandising practices
• Familiarity with FMCG products and store operations
• Basic reporting and inventory handling skills
