Position Title: Finance Manager

Job Summary

The Finance Manager is responsible for leading the organization's financial planning, accounting, reporting, budgeting, compliance, and treasury functions. The role ensures the company's financial operations are managed efficiently while maintaining compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Qatar Central Bank (QCB) regulations, and other applicable statutory requirements. The Finance Manager will also drive finance transformation initiatives, process automation, and ERP implementation to enhance operational efficiency and support strategic business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management

  • Oversee the day-to-day finance and accounting operations of the organization.
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IAS/IFRS.
  • Manage general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
  • Ensure effective cash flow management, liquidity planning, and treasury operations.
  • Monitor financial performance and recommend corrective actions where necessary.

Budgeting & Financial Planning

  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Develop financial models and provide strategic financial analysis to support business decisions.
  • Monitor budget utilization and prepare variance analysis reports.
  • Provide recommendations to improve profitability and cost efficiency.

Regulatory Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure full compliance with Qatar Central Bank (QCB) regulations and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports accurately and within deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with taxation, corporate governance, and internal financial policies.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities and external stakeholders when required.

Audit & Risk Management

  • Coordinate internal and external audits.
  • Ensure implementation of audit recommendations and strengthen internal controls.
  • Identify financial risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Maintain robust financial governance and compliance frameworks.

Finance Transformation & Process Improvement

  • Lead finance transformation initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
  • Drive process automation and digitalization of finance functions.
  • Manage ERP and financial system implementation, upgrades, and optimization projects.
  • Continuously review financial processes and recommend best practices.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.
  • Collaborate with senior management to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Present financial reports and performance insights to executive leadership.
  • Build effective relationships with auditors, banks, regulators, and other external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, CA, or equivalent is mandatory.

Experience

  • 8–10 years of finance management experience.
  • Prior experience within an exchange house, banking, or financial services environment is preferred.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, audits, regulatory reporting, and stakeholder management.
  • Demonstrated experience leading finance transformation, process automation, and ERP/financial system implementation projects.

Technical Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of International Accounting Standards (IAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Sound understanding of Qatar Central Bank (QCB) regulations.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and financial reporting software.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
