Position Title: Tailor

Key Responsibilities
Tailoring & Maintenance
- Provide timely repairs and alterations to all uniforms, linens, upholstery, and furnishings in accordance with company specifications.
- Issue new uniforms to employees and perform necessary alterations for a proper fit.
- Monitor and inform necessary requirements for repairs to employee laundry and guest gears.
- Liaise with the Engineering, Operation, and Event teams regarding the setup, maintenance, and removal of special event decorations.
Operations & Administration
- Maintain a detailed record of day-to-day work in the departmental log-book.
- Track and monitor overall service delivery and team efficiency, reporting shortfalls to the Facility Supervisor or Manager.
- Ensure the sewing area and general working area are kept neat, tidy, and orderly.
- Communicate knowledge and skills to departmental employees and participate in professional training to enhance multifunctional skills.
- Follow all Leisure policies, procedures, and State of Qatar rules and regulations, particularly regarding health and safety.
Job Specifications

Education: Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience: 2–3 years of experience in the same field.

Technical Skills: * Proficiency with sewing machines and related equipment.
- Good knowledge of technical fabrics.
- Basic familiarity with storekeeping methods, inventory systems, accounting principles, and procedures for accurate tracking of uniforms and linen.

Technology Skills: Well-versed in basic computer systems and inventory software.

Language & Communication: * English language proficiency.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Performance Indicators
- Compliance with uniform and safety standards.
- Percentage of repairs and maintenance completed.
- Effectiveness of cost savings and fabric knowledge.
- Accuracy in tracking uniform and linen through proper inventory management.
- Timely issuance of new uniforms and the proper tracking and disposal of old uniforms
